During a visit to Huerta de Peñamelaria, a wild horse that lives at the orchard, Pía, arrived and joined the family’s gathering. (Filmed, December 18, 2021)
Currently, Pía is too young for the family to train. The orchard contains an electric fence that acts as a perimeter for where Pía roams, and a local shepherd further manages her well-being.
Huerta de Peñamelaria is a 120-hectare olive orchard in the Montaña de las Víboras (Viper Mountain), near the City of Córdoba, Córdoba, Andalucía, Spain. In English, the orchard’s name means Honeystone Orchard. It was purchased in 1827 by an ancestor of the family, Juan Felipe Conde.
