The Emirate of Córdoba was a muslim-oriented state that comprised of most of the Iberian Peninsula in the 8th-10th centuries. Dr. Brian Catlos joins the show again to discuss what life was like in the emirate. Dr. Catlos is Professor, Religious Studies, University of Colorado Boulder, and Research Associate in Humanities, University of California, Santa Cruz. Professor Catlos is also a co-director of The Mediterranean Seminar.
